This monograph analyses the transformations in Lithuanian ecosophical thought that occurred in the 20th century, as well as the main trends in the philosophical relationship with the natural environment that emerged during this period. It discusses the concept of ecosophy and its origins, and demonstrates how the first manifestations of ecosophical thought emerged in interwar Lithuania and the problems they encountered. All of these changes are linked to developments in modern and contemporary politics, and the connection between nature policy and nature philosophy is demonstrated.
