Content of training
The purpose of the workshop is to introduce researchers to the Bibliometric-Systematic Literature Review (B-SLR), a structured, multi-method approach designed to navigate the complexities of vast academic production. This method directly addresses the limitations of traditional literature reviews, where pure bibliometric analyses may lack conceptual depth and Systematic Literature Reviews (SLRs) can miss crucial data-driven connections. The B-SLR integrates the strengths of both quantitative (bibliometric analysis) and qualitative (SLR) methods, providing a comprehensive framework for research.
The primary goal of this workshop is to provide a clear methodological framework for integrating bibliometric analysis with systematic literature review to achieve both robust synthesis and theoretical development. The B-SLR acts as a flexible toolbox, fostering creativity while maintaining analytical rigor, enabling researchers to synthesize complex knowledge, identify critical gaps, and expand theoretical contributions. This approach promotes timely and relevant insights by bridging diverse research traditions and supporting scholars across various stages of management studies, from detailed domain examinations to exploratory research. The workshop will cover the 10 key steps of the B-SLR process.
After finishing the workshop, participants should have a foundational understanding of the methodological and practical possibilities, as well as the limitations, of using B-SLR in their own research. This will enable them to craft meaningful and theoretically relevant literature reviews, leading to impactful contributions that can challenge existing paradigms and generate new insights.
