About the seminar

This 90-minute workshop, Strategic Communication & Dissemination for EU Proposals, is tailored for Arts & Humanities and Social Sciences (AHSS) researchers seeking to maximise the impact section of their Horizon Europe and Erasmus+ proposals.

Its primary objective is to equip participants with the tools to move beyond generic communication plans and develop a high-scoring, strategic narrative.

The workshop specifically addresses the unique challenge of AHSS projects, where impact is often societal or cultural, by demonstrating how to effectively articulate this value and ‘Pathway to Impact’ to EU evaluators.

Key subtopics include decoding essential terminology (Communication, Dissemination, Exploitation), developing strategic AHSS approaches by defining non-traditional targets and adopting ‘Impact storytelling,’ and moving beyond the generic website to implement high-impact channels (e.g., policy briefs, digital archives) and a SMART KPI Matrix.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to clearly differentiate between the objectives, audiences, timing, and language required for Communication (raising awareness and showing societal value to non-specialists) versus Dissemination (enabling the use and uptake of results by specialised stakeholders).
